Mercedes/Sadie Williams is a copywriter and marketing specialist with a focus on the wine and hospitality industries.

She was born in Burlington, Vermont, and graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, with a BA in Creative Writing and a minor in Visual Arts. She began writing professionally immediately after graduation, securing positions with community newspapers in her home state before moving on to a staff writing position at Vermont’s leading alt-weekly newspaper.

As the granddaughter, daughter, and sister of entrepreneurs, Sadie has always had a strong appreciation for small businesses. In 2018, she left journalism to become a freelance copywriter and support businesses in reaching their target audience.

Her lengthiest position during this time was with Dedalus Wine in Burlington, VT, where she expanded her skillset as she managed email, subscriptions, and e-commerce in addition to copywriting.

Her time with Dedalus solidified her love of wine and led her to complete her WSET II certification.
